Hospice Care Network

Come support our valued mission. We are looking for a volunteer to assist with mailings, filing, and assembling informational packets. Assistance is requested 1 time weekly for 3 hours in a quiet office setting. Days are flexible.

Please note, there is a medical requirement, background check, and orientation which all need to be completed prior to someone being a volunteer.

Hospice Care Network (HCN) is a nonprofit organization that has served patients and their families in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties with care and compassion since 1988. We are a part of the prestigious Northwell Health. HCN utilizes an approach that cares for the total person, addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers, home health aides, dieticians, pastoral care providers, bereavement counselors and trained volunteers.

We develop and provide individualized programs of care and supportive services during dying, death and bereavement that enhance quality of life by adressing physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs. Emphasis is placed on pain and symptom management.
