At New Century Hospice, we are all about providing support and care not only for our patients, but their loved ones too. Our Volunteers play a huge part in providing this support.
In Bastrop, we have a patient who has asked for a volunteer to come stay with her so her daughter (caregiver) can take a break! After orientation, you will call the daughter to make a schedule together of when you will come.
Volunteers are "friendly visitors." Our Volunteers do not provide any medical care (bathing, dressing, feeding, transferring, giving medications).
Orientation is required and is scheduled around your busy schedule and in Bastrop.
