Job Description: Once a week on a Thursday or Friday, to represent the Museum when greeting the general public and other Museum staff, volunteers, and trustees. Communicate the Museum narratives to visitors. Promote Museum activities/events to Museum attendees.

Job Responsibilities: Open the Museum by turning on all exhibit lights, digital media displays, and unlocking Visitor Entrance doors. Prepare Museum by inspecting the general appearance, fixing any exhibit display issues, and spot-cleaning the facility as needed. Welcome visiting public. Handle gift shop sales. Answer phone, transfer calls, answer questions, provide directions to the Museum. Provide an overview of the Museum to visitors. Provide basic knowledge of Museum’s history, on-going events and general information. Provide basic knowledge of Waltham, its history, features, and amenities. Close the Museum by turning off all lights, digital media displays, and locking doors. Notify supervisor of any issues.

Qualifications: Ability to work with a cash drawer, iPad and Square Reader. Good verbal and written communication skills.
