Musically:
Provide a rhythmic foundation by strumming chords for contemporary Christian worship music using:
Standard open chords - "Cowboy" chord; Barre chords; Power chords; Palm muting; Capo; Some finger-picking or flat-picking technique; Optional - Short Cut Capo; Follow a Chord Chart
Play various strumming patterns (downstrokes, alternating down-up strokes, other more complex patterns, etc.)
Be able to work with a worship lead team/director and with a lead vocalist (there may be times when the regular worship leader is not on the team, and you will have to help lead the team musically)

We believe that faith is a journey that helps to build your healthy, loving relationships with people in our community and with God. We have not-for-profit programs like Sunbeam Christian Preschool and JAM (Jackson Arts Ministry) to offer people in our surrounding communities opportunities to grow and express themselves in a loving environment. On the church side, we offer programs, such as Sunday School, Switch-Jackson (our youth leadership program), outreach opportunities, bible studies, worship, and volunteer opportunities for teens and adults. All of our programs are open to the entire community.
