50 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED PER DAY

The NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program has partnered with The STEAM Revolution Network to host the largest block party fundraiser in DeKalb County!

As a tribute to the City of Atlanta for hosting Super Bowl LIII, we will be converting North DeKalb Mall into The Community On Demand Technology Pavilion. From January 28 - February 3, kids of all ages can purchase a FUN PASS to enjoy our fun-filled STEAM Combine - educational games and activities that reflect how Atlanta's STEAM professionals changed the game in music, fashion, film, sports, science, entertainment and technology. This includes:

  • Giant game zone (chess, checkers, Connect 4, JENGA, rolling dice, corn toss and dominoes)
  • Charged up STEAM Combine @ Contact Point
  • Leapin' Lizards
  • VS Realm Gamers & Mixers Esports Competition
  • Sights & Sounds Black Cultural Museum
  • 360 True Health Film Studio
  • RC Fitness Dance Studio
  • Challenges Comic Book Store
  • Ten80 Race Track (Old Ross Department Store)
  • Kids Drone Zone (Old Ross Department Store)
  • Gyrescope Virtual & Augmented Reality Zone

This fundraising event will help us launch our new Ten80 Atlanta Regional Hub and host National STEM League competitions. Funding will also support additional programming offered throughout the STEAM Revolution Network such as Girls Who Code, the Community On Demand Digital Media Network, the Gamers & Mixers Esports League, our new STEM Direct Youth Staffing Agency, our internship program at SAE Institute, and many more.

Volunteers Needed
We expect to serve over 5,000 visitors during the week with light attendance in the beginning of the week and much busier activity as the week progresses. We need 20 volunteers per day to manage each activity station and assist with distributing FUN Passes. Each volunteer shift is as follows:

9a - 2p Morning Shift
4p - 9pm Evening Shift

Volunteers are asked to wear comfortable shoes, black bottoms, and white tops. Please bring your own bottled water, beverages, food and snacks. When you arrive to North DeKalb Mall, please report to the Georgia Power building during operating hours.
