At DemocracyLab we are working on accelerating social innovation by optimizing the connection between tech-centric volunteers, and tech-for-good projects. In addition to building a web app (www.democracylab.org), we also run bi-monthly Hackathons in partnership with the Seattle tech community.
This is an opportunity to work closely with many of Seattle's social technologists and build upon, implement, manage, and evaluate DemocracyLab’s signature Hackathons and support ongoing DemocracyLabs programmatic events. These events and activities are designed to build awareness for the organization as well as all DemocracyLab affiliate projects.
Responsibilities would include:
Assist and manage event management plans and execution with the DemocracyLab events team.
Work with cross-functional teams to prepare and manage program marketing efforts, including digital, social media, and print media.
Secure venues, compile guest lists, manage RSVPs and related event communication.
Oversee external vendors, including caterers, designers, photographers, or decorators.
