Project Helping Kindfulness for Kids Event

Project Helping is partnering with The Denver Hospice to make "fidget blankets" for patients with Alzheimer’s. Fidget blankets soothe and calm patients, thereby positively impacting nurses and doctors, as well as family members comforted knowing their loved ones feel more peaceful.
Project Linus: Provide love, a sense of security, warmth, and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers."

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?

This unique collaboration will serve both patients at Denver Hospice AND the kiddos that Project Linus serves. 60 blankets to Denver Hospice and all the rest to Project Linus! Each volunteer will be given instructions on how to make a fidget blanket and will see everyone’s finished products before leaving. Project Helping is supplying all the materials, and we’re making fringe-tied blankets. No sewing or special skills are required, so everyone can join in!

As space is limited, make sure to register before participating in this great event!
