Vitalant, formerly Bonfils Blood Center, one of the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit community blood service providers, supplies comprehensive transfusion medicine services to nearly 1,000 hospitals and healthcare partners for patients in need across 40 states. Many people believe that most blood is needed after major disasters. However, daily personal emergencies and ongoing medical needs of thousands of patients require a constant and ready blood supply. It’s the blood already on hospital shelves that saves lives. Your single blood donation can transform the lives of up to three patients.

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?

Join Project Helping to make a donation to transform up to three lives. Following your donation, your transformative gift is typed, tested, processed, stored and distributed to patients who need it in the hospitals served by Vitalant. We’ll take a behind-the-scenes tour to see what happens to your blood donation at the Lowry Donation Facility.
