Medical Office Outreach Volunteers act as the face of the Alzheimer’s Association, representing the organization at physician’s offices and helping to grow our relationship with local neurologists, geriatricians, and primary care offices. Volunteers are responsible for making phone calls and visiting local physician’s offices to share information about the Alzheimer’s Association programs and services and Alzheimer’s disease.
Visits are done on a quarterly basis and, depending on travel, the time commitment is up to 20 hours quarterly. Minimum 6 month commitment and must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
This is a great opportunity for current medical students, retired physicians, and others who would like to gain experience in medical outreach.
Medical Office Outreach volunteers are needed throughout the Modesto area.

Description
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading, global voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care and support, and the largest private, nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research. Our office is part of the Northern California & Northern Nevada Chapter. We enhance care and support for those affected by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, fund research to find a cure/treatment, and advocate at the federal, state and local levels for research, prevention and care initiatives.
