Dental, RDAEF, RDA, DA & predental student volunteers needed to assist dental professionals (General Dentists, Specialists & RDHs) to provide free dental care to low-income, uninsured or underinsured patients living in Riverside County. Other tasks include sterilization, operatory step-up & break down, equipment maintenance, restocking & inventory, etc...
DAs with dental radiology certificate will take digital intraoral &/or panoramic x-rays as diagnosed per dental providers. DAs assist chairside, setup & breakdown operatories, sterilize instruments, etc... per certificates &/or licenses.
This is a good opportunity for pre-dental, hygiene & dental students to experience dentistry chairside as "DAs" dipping their fingers into the dental pool. Back office duties assigned with appropriate training & supervision within legal parameters.
International dentists can keep their fingers wet in dentistry as DAs while pursuing licensure here.

Mission Statement
Smile Unto Him was founded to provide dental treatment for the underserved and needy.
Description
Smile Unto Him dental clinic in Riverside opened September 2018. Low-income patients living in Riverside County who are uninsured or underinsured are verified as eligible with proof of qualifications. Priority is given to senior citizens & veterans. Patients register online. Initial appointments are scheduled for digital radiographs & examination to diagnose a treatment plan & proceed with dental care. Volunteer general dentists as well as dental specialists, dental hygienists, dental assistants & pre-dental students work with 1 full-time employee to provide free comprehensive dental care. Grantors, funders & donations provide finances, equipment, instruments & supplies.

- PreDental volunteers without experience &/or training required to commit minimum of 4 hours weekly while 4 hours monthly requested of experienced &/or trained DAs. More time is always welcome.
- All volunteers must have valid & current government ID as well as current BLS. Licensed positions require current licensure.
