Two volunteers per 4 hours shift support our staff van driver as they take water, sandwiches, blankets, clothing and personal supplies to people staying outside in and around Albany, NY.
Shifts start at the above address and run from 2-6pm and 6-10pm 7 days a week, year-round.
Shifts are chosen on an online calendar: you do not need to have the same availability week-to-week. You can sign up to come in pairs.
Prospective volunteers have to meet with the Joseph's House Coordinator, usually at the Troy office, before their first shift. There is a short application form and an orientation/ training which lasts about one hour.
