The Parvo Prevention Project is a community outreach program aimed at preventing and treating Parvo in dogs. We host clinics in the summer months to administer vaccines, share information, and offer treatment and services to those in need. During these clinics, we also provide information and scheduling services for spay/neuters.

ALIVE Rescue is looking for someone to manage the promotion, organization, and execution of these clinics.

The Parvo Prevention Project Coordinator will report directly to the Founder, Volunteer Coordinator, Social Media team, and CRISP Leads. It’s their job to oversee 4 Parvo Prevention Clinics during the summer. This includes...

  • Planning, promoting, and executing entire clinics from start to finish.
  • Ordering and bringing supplies to clinics, such as vaccines, microchips, and syringes.
  • Organizing on-site training to volunteers, vet techs, and veterinarians.
  • Printing T-shirts and other materials as needed, including registration cards, spay/neuter instructions, etc.
  • Taking over CRISP and ALIVE Rescue social media before and during the clinics.
  • Creating a Facebook event and placing targeted ads for each clinic within our budget.
  • Coordinating door hanger distribution within targeted zip codes prior to each clinic.
  • Communicating directly with alderman offices, community centers, and churches.
  • Coordinating surgery dates with spay/neuter clinics and families.
  • Data entry of registration cards from each clinic, and generating stats for CRISP leads.

We’re looking for someone who has...

  • Excellent dog handling, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of medical care for dogs and cats.
  • Experience in event planning and event promotion.
  • Attended or will attend a Volunteer Session at the Little Barn and one Parvo Clinic.
  • Car preferred, but not necessary.
