Hello dedicated PERIOD advocates!

PERIOD was founded in 2014 by two 16-year-old high school students with a passion for periods. To date, PERIOD has addressed over 700,000 periods through product distribution and registered over 400 campus chapters in all 50 US states and in over 30 countries. Our chapters serve periods by distributing menstrual products to people in need, educate to change the way people think, talk and learn about periods; and advocate for systemic change to make period products freely available in shelters, schools, and prisons. Our national office in Portland supports our chapters and also distributes menstrual products directly to service partners in the Portland metro area and around the country.

We need volunteers in our Portland office to support our chapter and service programs. Because training is required, we need people who can commit to at least five hours a week (most weeks) for at least two months. Our volunteer positions include onboarding and supporting new chapters, working with our service partners to understand their needs, preparing menstrual product orders for shipping or pick-up, working on our website, updating our database, and creating print assets such as brochures. We could really use people with business experience such as logistics, shipping, and systems to help us take our processes to the next level. Find out more or apply at at period.org/positions.

Some preferred skills are listed, but we are open to anyone who wants to help us end period poverty and period stigma.
