- Recruiting, managing, and providing support to volunteers.
- Responding to volunteer emails and inquiries on a daily basis.
- Updating VolunteerMatch.org with our volunteer needs.
- Helping with the annual volunteer appreciation party by researching venues and organizing awards.
- Coordinating quarterly volunteer mixers.
- Staffing fundraising events as needed.
- Overseeing Volgistics (our volunteer software program) and providing general support and guidance to volunteers.
- Working with Board of Directors to nominate a Volunteer of the Month.
- Keeping the Volunteer Newsletter Team updated on events and information.
PREREQUISITES
Since the Volunteer Coordinator will serve as an ALIVE Rescue representative, we’re looking for someone who is...
- Outgoing, professional, and has a positive attitude.
- Is people-person that is excited about the rescue mission.
- Has access to an email account and a Facebook Profile.
- Knows Microsoft Excel.
- Experienced in volunteer recruitment or management. (Preferred, but not required.)

ALIVE Rescue is a volunteer run organization who rescues cats and dogs who would otherwise be euthanized. ALIVE is proud to be the first green animal rescue in Chicago.
