Camp Korey is a camp for kids with a variety of life-altering medical conditions. With this - we work very hard to have well-prepared/healthy meals for a variety of different dietary restrictions/needs. We look for extra support for our kitchen staff to help with a variety of roles related to the kitchen, which are listed below. Responsibilities:

  • Assist with setup of meals
  • Assist with pan washing and dish washing
  • General cleaning
  • Serving food (if applicable)
  • Food preparation

Ideally we would love someone for the whole weekend, but if not, we can be flexible!

  • Family Weekends are Friday-Sunday
  • Friday shift - around 4pm-8pm; Saturday Shift - 7:30/8am-8pm shift based on availability (with breaks); Sunday Shift - 8am-11am/12pm
  • *Even if you cannot do the exact shifts above, still reach out, as we have some flexibility

We have multiple weekend where we are looking for kitchen help for the different shifts:

  • Feb 23-25
  • Mar 8-10
  • March 22-24
  • April 5-7
  • April 19-21

Mission Statement

Camp Korey's mission is to honor the courage, strength and determination of children and their families living with life-altering medical conditions by providing them with a transformational experience in a fun, safe camp environment with specialized medical support.

Description

Camp Korey offers children and families an escape from the endless medical treatments that have overshadowed childhood. Campers grow stronger, braver, and build leadership skills that they take into their everyday lives. Our campers have reported an increase in self-esteem, confidence and resilience, along with a network of friends and support to help them through the tough times. We work with a dedicated team of medical professionals and program facilitators to create a medically safe camp adventure. Camp is always free to campers and their families, thanks to our volunteers, donors and supporters.
