Apprenticeship Fair Event Support - morning half day
ORGANIZATION: ADAMS COUNTY EDUCATION CONSORTIUM
Please visit the new page to apply.
To raise awareness of career pathways and apprenticeship opportunities, ACEC is coordinating an Apprenticeship Fair targeted to high school juniors and seniors, and out-of-school youth.
Adams County Education Consortium needs event support at our Apprenticeship Fair which will connect Adams County high school juniors and seniors to industries with job training pathways. Event support will include: setting up and cleaning up breakfast table, assisting and directing vendors, greeting and directing students inside of the event space and distribution of lunch to vendors.
By 2020, nearly three in four jobs in Colorado will require some education beyond high school which includes a certificate, two year or four-year degree. Yet today, only 46% of youth in Adams County enroll in post-secondary programs and only 39% of those youth complete their program within six years.
A variety of industries will be represented, including health care, skilled trades, advanced manufacturing, information technology, energy and hospitality. These businesses will promote opportunities for on-the-job training in high demand careers in an engaging and interactive environment.
