A really cool volunteer opportunity for tweens and teens to be part of a Civic Engagement Conference held at Seton Hall University.

This is for Middle and High School Students. We also need adult volunteers! (Community Service Hours available).

Here are the cool things you get to do:

1. Become a Junior Broadcaster for the Day and be part of the KiDz HuB Junior Broadcast Team (Broadcaster, Videographer, Blogger, Vlogger, Social Media Manager Radio Host etc.)
2. Join the Tween/Teen Panel
3. Lead/Participate in the discussions

The March 23rd is the second in a series of Beyond High School Educational Conference on Civic Engagement. allows middle and high school students to These two conferences are an educational opportunity for middle and high school youth to engage in Civic Engagement and Social Justice.

Civic Engagement is a big issue. It’s a big part of our nation’s governing infrastructure. This conference provides New Jersey youth an opportunity to converse with experts in social justice, higher education, and legislative policy to have an in-depth learning experience in the analysis of issues affecting their communities. The ultimate goal is to develop a "White Paper" as the output from the spring conference.

As a recent New Jersey Black Issues Conference award recipient of the Community Change in Education Award, we feel communicating about proven practices, programs and research in a community environment will help increase student success. This conference and its panel workshops provide that necessary information.
