Description

The core programs that we offer our children engage them to develop self-esteem and reach their full potential. The Boys & Girls Club of North SLO County offers these program activities:

Power Hour- A comprehensive homework help and tutoring program for all members grades K-12th on a daily basis. Power Hour provides members with the support, resources and guidance necessary to complete their homework and start the school day with a sense of confidence and ability. As a members complete homework assignments and bonus activities, they accumulate Power Points, which may be used to obtain prizes and incentives. In addition, Power Hour offers tutoring assistance for members who need additional work in specific areas.

SMART Girls- Is a program that helps girls develop healthy attitudes and lifestyles. To accomplish this, the program addresses health and social issues that are specific to female Club members. SMART Girls is designed to meet the individual needs of club members according to their physiological, mental and emotional needs. In addition, the program is intended to help girls make positive decisions at this critical stage in their development.

In addition, we offer classes in art, drama, singing, dance, and sports. These activities accentuate the commitment we have to filling the lives of our youth with meaningful opportunities to develop positive skills and relationships with other children and caring adults.
