ORGANIZATION: ProMedica Hospice

How would you like to make a difference? If you can do simple arts and crafts or if you are a masterful crafter and enjoy working with people, our hospice patients need you!

Heartland Hospice is looking for compassionate art volunteers to assist our patients and their families in creating their very own master piece.

Our patients and their families benefit from distraction and do not worry as much when they are engaged in with others. Activities, arts and crafts such as puzzles, crocheting, knitting, painting, drawing, jewelry, card memory journal making along with some conversation goes a long way to brighten up our patients day.

Come and share your time and talents with our very special patients.

Here at Heartland Hospice Dayton Office we service 9 counties. We are looking for volunteers for the following counties: Logan, Shelby, Darke, Preble, Montgomery, Miami, Greene, Clark and Champaign.

Description

ProMedica Hospice of Dayton services Montgomery, Greene, Preble, Clark, Champaign, Miami, Darke, Shelby and Logan Counties.

Hospice programs are designed to offer support, care and comfort to terminally ill patients in the final stages of life as well as their families. Provided either in-home or within an assisted living or skilled nursing center, our Hospice Care program includes palliative care by hospice professionals, counseling for patient and family as well as pastoral support. In addition, registered nurses, therapists, dietitians and social workers are available to meet all the patients' health care needs.

Hospice Care is a promise... a promise to patients who are facing the most difficult time of life, when choices seem few, and the patient and family situation is most fragile.
