Greetings!
Our Hospice organization is looking for Veteran Volunteers to participate in our Vet to Vet program (We Honor Veterans) Pinning ceremonies and committee. These volunteers will be providing one on one companionship with our fellow Veterans. Volunteer Veterans will also participate in Veteran events held within Southern California. This includes veteran pinning events, public and community relation events. If you are a dedicated volunteer vet that would like to participate in honoring our community of hospice Veterans please message me with your interest.
Requirements:
-Must have reliable transportation
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Must complete and clear a background check
-Must have a negative result screening for TB test

Hospice Volunteer Training is a program where we select qualified persons who can fit well with patients who have a terminal illness through several organizations. We match volunteers to Hospices where they will excel the most. We offer training and orientation, continued education for all volunteers, certificates of completion and excellence. Whether volunteers are students trying to gain experience or if you just want to give back to the community. We hope that we find individuals who can successfully achieve their goals and provide helpful assistance to Hospice organizations within the Los Angeles County.
Description
Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness and help their families caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospice also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fund raising, community outreach and other operational areas.
