Want to be involved in impacting a child’s life? Volunteer at Camp Kangaroo 2019.
What is Camp K?
Camp Kangaroo is for Phoenix children who have experienced the death of a loved one this year.
Please check out the video below for more on what we do at camp.
Camp is free for all campers (we expect over 40 campers in 2019) and is fully funded by donations to our organization’s nonprofit sector Seasons Hospice Foundation.
The Camp Kangaroo curriculum is designed to teach these grieved children coping skills, that they are not alone, and guide parents to how to help their child grieve in a healthy way. This will be our 4 th year hosting Camp Kangaroo in Phoenix.
How can you be involved?
Be a part of the "Joey Troupe!"
We cram a lot of therapy into the group therapy sessions at Camp. There are four 45 minute sessions each day, and in-between the sessions, we need the kids to blow off some steam, and expend a lot of energy! (especially the Littles).
The Joey Troupe will be available to play with the kids between sessions. You’ll also help with serving and cleaning up lunch, walking kids to the bathroom and helping with parent pick up and drop off. If you can commit to all three days of Camp that’s excellent, but if you can just do one or two days, this is the role for you.
Interested? Please ask me any questions. I’d love to see you there!
Camp Date: February 16 - 19, 2019 (presidents day weekend)
Camp Schedule: 8:30am - 4:30pm daily
Camp Location: Paradise Valley Highschool (3950 E Bell Rd, Phoenix AZ 85032)

Mission Statement
Honoring Life - Offering Hope
Description
Seasons Hospice engenders hope in the lives of its patients and their family members. We are here for you.
We are a community-based organization on an ongoing mission to find creative solutions which add quality to life. We believe firmly in the patient/family focus of hospice care, recognizing that individuals and families are the experts in their own care.
Giving Meaning to Every Minute
In every life situation we have a choice as to how we react. At no time is this more profound than in facing the end of life or the death of a loved one.
These months, days, weeks and moments can be among life's most precious - and that is precisely the reason that Seasons Hospice exists. We will do everything in our power to ease pain and provide physical and emotional comfort and support for our patients and their families and friends.
Support When You Need It Most
Seasons Hospice is a community-based organization with an ongoing mission to find creative solutions that add quality to end-of-life care. The caregivers at Seasons Hospice hold steadfast to the patient/family focus of hospice care.
We recognize that individuals and families are the experts in their own care, and we continuously strive for excellence beyond accepted standards.
We are born into a world of comfort, warmth and love, and it our belief that we should all leave this world in the same way. To further that goal, we work with communities to increase the awareness of hospice as part of the continuum of care.
