Do you like planning parties? This is the opportunity for you!

Famous Fido's Annual Celebration of Life is a Gala centered around celebrating not just the lives that Famous Fido has saved, but lives of animals all over. Last year, our Celebration of Life Gala was held at the beautiful Stan Mansion in Logan Square, and raised nearly $50,000! There is a lot of work that goes into planning an event like this! We need volunteers to help with all aspects of the event-
-Planing the details of the event (Last year, it was held at the Stan Mansion)
-Finding and working with a venue
-Securing catering and alcohol
-Procuring silent auction physical and event/outing prizes, entertainment, live auction, etc.

The over 100 animals in residence at Famous Fido and the thousands more we help per day-depend on it!

Every day, healthy Chicago land companion animals, and animals all across America, are being destroyed because far too many are not finding a home. We want to help make Chicago a model "NO KILL" city where every adoptable companion animal can find a good home. And by doing so, help influence the way other cities care for their companion animals. We passionately believe it can - and must - be done. We believe that responsible stewardship of Chicago land's companion animals is an imperative. And that it can happen if we all work together with this common goal.

Description

If you love dogs and /or cats and are interested in helping in any way, we are constantly looking for volunteers to help us here at the rescue. Dog Walkers, Cuddlers, Bookkeeping, Social Media, Administrative, Kennel Help, and Animal Advocates to help Network/Sponsor Animals.

Must be 17 years or older.
