Looking for Pumpkinfest volunteers for Saturday 10/19/19 - flex time between 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM!
Want to do face-painting, help children decorate pumpkins, or just move stuff? Let us know, shits flexible!
We have a full slate of events planned for 2019 (see below), and need neighbors to step in to plan, publicize, and put on these events. Help out at any of these! We meet first Wednesdays at 7 PM at 2840 N Milwaukee Ave, and you can come meet us and started pitching in! Contact us here or at Info@UnityParkChicago.org

Easter Egg Hunt - 4/20 10-12 (day before Easter)
Earth Day 4/27 10-1 - Theme is Plant a Flower Take a Flower Home
Comedy - 6/21 6:30
Art in the Park - 7/13 or 7/20 10-2
Movie - 8/11with 8/18 (rain date) at dusk.
Lucha Libre - 8/31 (wknd before Labor Day/school open) 12-4
Nights Out in the Parks - TBD. Possibly oen with Opera-matic
Yoga? Pilates?
Rolling Rec probably starting June.

Mission Statement
The purpose of the Council will be to plan effective ways for everyone in the community to better utilize Unity Park. We do this because neighbors like you choose to get involved, because this is what they get in return! Smiles from hundreds of happy children! Getting to know your neighbors! Ownership of your local park! Learn how to plan fun family friendly events! Make new friends! Be able to say you helped make that happen!
Description
The Unity Park Advisory Council is a local group made up of local parents and neighbors. The council facilitates the use of Unity Park by the public through the following.
Maintenance and up-keep of the park
Planning and fund-raising for capital improvements
Creating garden and art projects
Planning and hosting special events at the park
UPAC is organized under the Friends of the Parks advisory council guidelines.
UPAC has been in operation for over 30 years.
