Pruitt Health Hospice is recruitting both male and femal volunteers to support our patients and families facing life-limiting illness. Our trained hospice volunteers are part of a team of doctors, nurses, social workers, and chaplains who offer comfort and dignity during the final journey.
There are many different ways to serve:
Make phone calls
plant flowers
write letter
say a prayer
share memories
sit with families
just be a friend
hold a hand
sing songs
office administration
community outreach
etc.

Description
When medical treatment cannot offer a cure, hospice provides care, comfort and support for persons with end-stage conditions so that they may live life as fully and comfortably as possible. A specially trained team of professionals and caregivers focus on all aspects of a patient's wellbeing, including his or her physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. Services may include physical care, counseling, drugs, equipment, and supplies for the terminal illness and related conditions.
