The Healthy Start Coalition of Orange County (HSCOC) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that was established by legislation (s.383.2161,F.S.) in 1992 to decrease Florida's high infant mortality rate, low birth weight babies, and to improve health and developmental outcomes for all children. Healthy Start Coalitions across the state are charged with developing and implementing quality systems of care by funding maternal and child health programs in the community.
The HSCOC Marketing & Resource Development Committee is to develop and maintain creative, effective, and efficient means of consistently engaging current and new patrons, fostering Coalition awareness, and generating contributions which aid in the sustainability of the non-profit.
The committee oversees the following HSCOC initiatives: social media, community events, annual events (Celebration of Motherhood, Giving Tuesday), legislative outreach, fundraising, in-kind contributions, donor management, maternal-child resource development, community partnerships, and other special initiatives or needs as per the directorship or board of directors.
