Jazz Empowers is currently expanding our board of directors and looking for new
board members. We are specifically looking for board members with a background in law, non-profit management, or fundraising. Below are the responsibilities of being a Board Member.
- Be passionate about the mission of Jazz Empowers.
- Commit 1-5 hours a month to their roles as a board member.
- Use personal skill set to help in different areas within organization.
- Engage their personal network to help Jazz Empowers’ fundraising efforts.
- Make it a priority to attend the 1-2 board meetings each year.
- Make at least a $1,000 donation to Jazz Empowers annually.

Description
Jazz Empowers is a non-profit organization that exists to close the opportunity and achievement gap in music education between low income students and their more economically advantaged peers. We fulfill this mission by partnering with low income schools across the country to start and develop jazz programs.
