As a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, CIEE is the country’s oldest and largest nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization. Since 1947, CIEE has helped thousands of people gain the knowledge and skills necessary to live and work in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world by offering the most comprehensive, relevant, and valuable exchange programs available.
Our High School Exchange program currently serves students from over 60 countries, bringing these young people to the USA for an immersive cultural experience. Our students attend local high schools, join clubs and sports, make friends, travel, and live with local host families! They join us with a passion for sharing their culture and learning a new one; with strong English skills, academic integrity, and an excitement for new opportunity, we welcome them for the 2019-2020 school year!
CIEE provides a local, 24/7 staff of Coordinators and Director to support students and hosts through the entire process, including applications, matching, and for the duration of the stay. Our Local Coordinators work directly with hosts to determine the best student options for your family, with the final decision being yours!
We are actively accepting student and host applications. If you are interested in hosting with us, or even learning more, please visit our application: www.ciee.org/host. The application is non-committal and we will work with you the entire way! We urge interested families to apply soon so that we are able to find the best potential student fit for you and allow your family months to communicate and get to know your student.
Thank you for opening your heart and home to our amazing kids!
