Support Group Facilitators create a safe, open environment where people share their feelings, thoughts, and experiences in a combined effort to better cope with and manage the shared problems of dementia.
- Once trained, Support Group Facilitators will be located at the support group location; not at the Ann Arbor office.
- We currently need facilitators in Ypsilanti and Chelsea, and Ann Arbor/Saline.
Most groups are for caregivers only. If you are interested in helping us start an early-stage group, these are time-limited groups (Usually 12-15 weeks) that provide support for people living in the early stages of the disease. Being a facilitator may include getting a new group started or joining another person as a co-facilitator in the area. Dates and times of groups vary.
