Big Bunch provides children and youth with mentoring support through group-based recreational programming. By participating in recreational activities children and youth develop self-esteem and social skills.
Big Bunch mentors and children meet on scheduled evenings and participate in recreational activities planned by BBBSWR. The program runs 3 times per year in Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge.
The volunteer commitment is 2 hours/week for 7 weeks.

Description
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region offers a wide range of mentoring opportunities to meet the varied needs of volunteers, children and families.
Serving as role models, our mentors teach by example the importance of giving and giving back, of staying in school and having respect for family, peers and community.
Each time we pair a child with a mentor or introduce a group of kids to a group program, we start something.
Whether it’s in the form of time or money there is no more important investment we can make than in helping children realize and live their potential.
