The Volunteers and Interns Program provides qualified non-paid volunteers and work experience trainees the opportunity to assist the paid workforce of the Department, by performing a variety of entry-level clerical and professional support duties. This gives volunteers and interns a realistic preview of the world of work within a child welfare agency, through on-the-job and/or classroom training activities.

Description
The Department of children and Family Services is committed to providing familes with services and resources to restore, develop and maintain healthy relationships; propelling families towards a better tomorrow with sustainable outcomes. Progam goals include establishing a roster of eager, quaified and dedicated volunteers to assist with court ordered and non court ordered visitation for children and their family members. Another goal is to create warm and safe environments to host visits for those seeking neutral locations.
