Power hour is our homework help time! Kids K-12 can come into the Education Room after school to get help with their homework, participate in educational activities (read, math sheets, Sudoku, logic puzzles, educational computer games, etc.), or to use necessary materials needed to complete their work. Basic school supplies are kept in the room and are available for use. Power hour participants are expected to be working on something educational without distracting their peers. Members who are working can earn rewards for their hard work. Volunteers are needed to help assist our Club Members with their homework, reading, or run educational games such as Jeopardy. Volunteers will assist with tutoring and motivating Club Members.

Volunteers generally serve between the hours of 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM, and we ask that you plan to commit to serving at least four hours per month for a minimum of 3 months.

Mission Statement

To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Description

Since 1986, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County has been at the forefront of youth development, working with young people in Larimer County.

We are there, every day, when kids are the least supervised and the most vulnerable - after school from 2:30pm to 7:00pm, Monday though Friday, and all day during the summer and other school out days.

Thanks to our affiliation with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, we have a lineup of tested and proven nationally recognized programs that address today's most pressing youth issues: teaching young people the skills they need to succeed in life.

Our kids are becoming better people and better members of the community - our future citizens, our future labor force and our future leaders.
