ORGANIZATION: VEAP- Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People

Do you have experience in facilities maintenance work? Do you enjoy leading teams and projects? Our volunteer maintenance team plays a vital role in our organization by ensuring high quality standards are being met for VEAP facilities! We offer our volunteers on-the-job training, flexible scheduling and a variety of fun and diverse opportunities to serve.

Major Responsibilities (Ages 25+):

  • Conduct weekly inspections of VEAP building grounds and facilities.
  • Monitor and respond to VEAP facilities email and account.
  • Perform or assign repair and maintenance tasks and projects to appropriate team members.
  • Collaborate with supervisor to develop systems and processes for volunteer maintenance teams.
  • Maintain organization of tools and supplies for maintenance team.

Description

VEAP is a basic needs and social services organization whose programs promote access to healthy foods, stable housing and transportation. VEAP’s programs are designed to address a particular need and when used together provide hope and can help avoid a financial crisis such as loss of housing, transportation or employment. Whether the hardship is from a disability, job transition, or the financial and physical stresses of aging, VEAP has been helping our neighbors in need for over 40 years in Bloomington, Richfield, and Edina.
