Join us to screen over 100 people for kidney disease. We are looking for a knock out team of volunteers interested in health to assist the National Kidney Foundation with screening the Richmond community for kidney disease as a part of the Richmond Women's Health &Fitness Expo on Feb. 2th, 2019 presented by CBS6! This is a fantastic opportunity for students interested in a career in health services, current or retired health professionals, and anyone interested in serving others and improving the well being of their community. Medical experience is preferred but not required.
Opportunities include helping register participants, conducting family history surveys, evaluating BMI, conducting blood pressure tests, assisting with a urine analysis screening, clinical consultation, program evaluation of participants, and distribution of information and resources. There are two volunteer shifts 9:00am to 12:30pm, 12:00pm to 4:30pm or you are welcome to volunteer the entire event. Come out for a day of fun, a great cause, and the opportunity to help make Richmond a healthier place.
