ORGANIZATION: Midwest HeArt

Midwest HeArt is a non-profit organization dedicated to welcoming refugees to our communities with the gift of art. Each year Midwest HeArt hosts an art exhibit to gift art, donated by local artists, to refugee families. Our goal is to implement art workshops for refugees + local community members to form new friendships.

While we are still in a phase of growth we are seeking an intern to help with digital communications. This is an opportunity that last from 1/21/2019 until 3/29/2019 with 10 hours per week (remote and in house) in collaboration with Liz Mohler, President/Operations, of Midwest HeArt.

The tasks given will be:

  • Newsletter coordination - gathering emails, researching content, providing updates to the community and adding creative flair
  • Assisting with social media platforms - graphic designs and content - includes researching - Adobe programs available for use
  • Contacting in-kind and monetary sponsorship opportunities

This opportunity is a great way for a student to get hands on experience on research, graphic design, digital marketing and making connections with the community.

Please, contact us via email, themidwestheart@gmail.com, with a letter of interest and your resume.

Thank you and looking forward to connecting with you!

Sincerely,

Liz Mohler
