As part of its mission, Sweetbriar Nature Center provides nature education for schools all over Nassau and Suffolk County. We are looking for volunteers to present a wide range of programs mostly during the spring and on into the summer if needed. It could become more regular for those who enjoy the opportunity. Volunteers would be presenting programs at our beautiful 55 acre preserve in Smithtown from one hour to two hours in length. Presenters must have had some experience working with groups of children, ages 3 to 11. Experience and a willingness to handle small animals is required. It is a wonderful opportunity for those who enjoy spending time in nature and working in a family atmosphere. Retirees welcome!!!
