ORGANIZATION: Sunrise Elementary School

  • 3 people are interested

The Focus room is a classroom of eight 3-5th graders under the direction of a behavioral specialist and an aide. Because of their emotional and psychological challenges the students need one-on-one assistance with academics and problem solving. The volunteer will be carefully trained in the procedures and routines of the classroom but at no time will the volunteer be responsible for dealing with any significant outbursts or non-compliance.

Times and frequency in the classroom can be determined based on the schedule of the volunteer and the schedule of the classroom.
