Do you care about farmed animals and aspire to develop a career at a nonprofit, and potentially fundraising? Then join the Luvin Arms team as our development intern! You’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your talent and build the experience and successful track record you need to advance your nonprofit career. We are looking for a part- or full-time intern to assist our Development Director in building out our development program.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in sending out weekly acknowledgements, sponsorship packages, and membership cards
- Data entry and assist with conversion to new donor database
- Assist with mailings and special projects as needed
- Write thank you notes and call supporters as needed
- Run errands and make post office runs as needed
- Provide special event help as needed (might include weekend and evening hours)
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service and writing skills
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
- General knowledge of business practices (ability to compose a proper letter, good phone manners, etc.)
- Enthusiasm for learning our philosophy, mission, history, issues
- Commitment to the mission and values of Luvin Arms
Specifications:
- Volunteer commitment of 20-40 hours per week
- Weekends and holidays may be required for special events
- Two month minimum commitment required
