NOSH is the premiere event for the Central Ohio Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; in fact, it's the first gala of its kind in Central Ohio! This event includes by-the-bite tastings from five of Central Ohio's top Executive Chefs employed by Cameron Mitchell. Guests will enjoy their cocktail hour by tasting and voting on these unique dishes and placing bids on an exciting silent auction. A dinner follows with a presentation. Our presentation will feature an incredible speaker and honorable guest, Dr. Mitchell Drumm from the Departments of Pediatrics and of Genetics and Genome Sciences at Case Western Reserve who was part of the team credited with the discovery of the gene that causes cystic fibrosis! Regardless of if you have a connection to cystic fibrosis or not, that will be an incredible presentation to witness! Not to mention that this takes place in the very beautiful Ivory Room located on the 6th floor with a wonderful view of downtown Columbus!

Now that you have an overall idea of that this event is all about, here are the tasks we need your help with!
Greeters- Volunteers to stand by the entrances of the event to greet guests as they come in and to direct them to the registration area.
Registration/Check Out Volunteers- our registration and check out process is all computerized in a user friendly system. We give you a brief training before the start of the event. This role is ideal for those who are comfortable on computers.
Mobile Bidding Floaters- people to be centralized to our silent auction area of the event with iPads (provided) to help guests with placing mobile bids on items if they need assistance or don't want to use their own phone for bidding.
Auction Item Movers and Organizers- Volunteers to help bring the auction items down to the lobby from the 6th floor via the elevators and set them up by number at the checkout area for the winners to easily gather at the end of the night.
Bid for a Cure and Live Auction Volunteers- These volunteers will be giving slips of paper and pens to take to anyone that raises their hand that they'd like to make a donation during our bid for a cure and live auction portion of the evening.
Clean Up- All volunteers are expected to stay to help with the clean up/tear down of the evening. This event has a very minimal tear down process as our venue takes care of most of the tear down process. Our tear down consists of packing up the registration computers and related materials, loading any left over auction items into staff members cars, and making sure that nothing is left behind and the space is left as it was when we got there.

This event is such a fun one to be a part of and you get to dress up a bit! I hope you'll come spend a few hours with us on the evening of Saturday, February 16th all for a good cause! :)

Additional Event Details-
Dress Code- Gala attire (long or knee length dresses or dress pants and a nice blouse, button up shirts and black pants for men for example)
Parking- there is a parking garage that is attached to the venue
Food- pizza (if you have food restrictions, please let me know ahead of time) before the event starts
You don't have to have a personal connection to cystic fibrosis (CF), nor do you need to know what cystic fibrosis is to volunteer for this event. We are just happy to have your help! (Please note however, that if you have CF we have to politely ask you to not volunteer due to our infection control policy as we already have somebody with CF that will be in attendance.)

More need to know details will be sent to you if you choose this volunteer opportunity.
