Mission Statement

Improve the Quality of Fastpitch Softball in our areas of focus so that girls are no longer lagging behind the rest of the State and Country. Promote fastpitch softball within the five boroughs of NYC for all girls regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry or economic status. Provide a League for girls to compete in at a low cost and to provide scholarship funding for families of need. Make G.O.A.L.S. a vehicle for girls, particularly underprivileged and underserved girls, to effectively compete for scholarship dollars that are available on the college level. Teach young girls about teamwork, honor, honesty, self-respect, dedication, hard work and determination. Provide trained and certified coaches dedicated to continuing their own improvement and skills. Help increase the exposure of our student-athletes to college coaches. Provide a Positive social, learning and teaching environment.

Description

We are a not for profit girls fast-pitch softball league located in Queens, NY. Goals was established in 2010. We have close to 200 girls in our program and over 1000 have come through our doors since 2010. We have placed hundreds of girls onto High School rosters through out Queens as well as Brooklyn and Manhattan. Over 30 players have gone on to play in college all on scholarship.

We emphasize the student in student-athlete. We believe in teaching life skills through softball. We are a very diverse organization with over 50% of our membership are people of color. We offer free clinics in the Winter for our Members and also a low cost summer camp. We are in the process of developing 2 new programs to help our members succeed on the field and in the classroom. These programs are a Mentor/Peer Speaker Series and a Low Cost Tutoring Program.

We have 4 divisions, 8U, 10U, 12U, and 15U as well as All-Star Summer College Bound Travel teams in the 10U, 12U 14U 16U & 18U divisions.
We have a coach training program in the winter to help new and returning coaches develop and improve their softball skills.
Goals has regulations in place to provide the players, coaches, umpires and fans an enjoyable experience and we believe in trying to create a positive experience for everyone.
