Assistant to Founder (Read about opportunity section) STILL NEEDED!!

One person is needed to assist the founder with running this non-profit. Reports and works alongside Founder, Samantha DeMato. -Must have a car and valid NYS driver's' license, and must be okay driving Founder in your car as Founder does not drive, due to a fainting disorder. YOU MUST BE A SAFE DRIVER DEVOID OF LICENSE POINTS. -Must write fluently in English as well, as this position will include the possibility of copy editing Press Releases, and volunteer-written articles. -Must be willing to learn new things as you go along. -Must have a good to excellent memory. -Must be detail-oriented. -Must have a cell phone that has internet, as you will be uploading pictures to our Pinterest page. -Must be nice and kind. -Must care about the cause. -Must be able to work under stress. -Must be able and willing to do anything the Founder requests of you, including going out to the store to buy coffee (with money she gives you). You will enjoy coffee or tea as well, if that is your preference.
- Must know about Fundraising, and Grant Writing, as well. -Must have excellent problem-solving skills. -Must be willing to meet with Directors for meetings with Founder. -Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, and bend. -MUST BE WILLING TO HAVE FUN!!!!! Also, upon acceptance; you will be added to our Project Management Website, Wrike. You will also be hand-sewing labels on blankets, making deliveries of items to hospitals, and driving to the Post Office. It is preferred that volunteer knows the difference between different types of yarn, and knows the difference between yarn and wool, but that can be taught. This can be done for Community service hours but must be long-term. You do NOT need to know crafts for this position but will learn along the way. You will be trained as you go. Until a location opens, we will meet at either a Starbucks in Saint James, or the Smithtown branch of the Smithtown Library. At some point; we may hang flyers for March of the Blanketeers. This is considered a director position. You will be packing boxes as well, and attending events. This position starts immediately!
