Committee Members Needed for Emmaus’ Cycle for Shelter Planning Committee

Emmaus, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people who are homeless rebuild and restore their lives. Since 1985, 30,000+ children, women and men have been assisted out of homelessness towards permanent housing, jobs and self-sufficiency.

Cycle for Shelter is our premier fundraiser and is held on the fourth Sunday of July. This year, July 28, 2019 will be our 31 st anniversary!

We are in need of several committee members to join our team of event organizers. No cycling experience is necessary - just a willingness to help plan a great fundraiser. The committee meets as a group monthly and committee members work on assigned tasks in between meetings.

The role of the committee member may be:

  • To partner with and support the event chair in planning the event within the community.
  • Help motivate, recruit and retain the participants.
  • Communicate with the event Chair on a regular basis and be proactive in the community promoting the event.
  • Assist with logistics and pre-event planning.
  • Assist with event-day activity planning and management and post event wrap up.

Join the C4S Planning Committee and see what a difference one person can make!
