The Lighthouse of Manasota is a nonprofit that serves the blind and visually impaired of all ages. We currently have need for a children's program volunteer to help with tutoring, one on one help and planning/setting up activities for visually impaired children. Help is needed ongoing Tuesdays from 4-6pm.

Description
Lighthouse Vision Loss Education Center is the only nonprofit agency providing no-cost rehabilitation training to blind and visually impaired individuals of all ages in five counties. The counties we service include: Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, DeSoto and Highlands. The Lighthouse provides training in skills that promote self-sufficiency and independence in the lives of individuals who have vision loss. Training varies from in-home instruction to facility-based classroom sessions in white cane, assistive technology, vocational rehabilitation and independent living skills.
