The 123 Read program will offer a virtual opportunity in addition to in-person volunteering. Volunteers will work with 1 st-3 rd grade students who are risk of not passing the Third Grade Reading Guarantee. In-person volunteers will work one-on-one and in small groups with children on various learning activities, utilizing a variety of tools. Virtual volunteers will log-in for one or two 30-minute sessions to work one-on-one with an assigned student through the TutorMate platform.
123 Read will take place in-person from 4:30-6:45 p.m. at the following branches:
Bedford on Monday/Wednesday
Garfield Heights on Tuesday/Thursday
Maple Heights on Tuesday/Thursday
North Olmsted on Monday/Thursday
Parma on Tuesday/Wednesday
South Euclid on Tuesday/Thursday
Warrensville Heights on Monday/Thursday
Virtual volunteers will start their 30-minute session at 5:45 and/or 6:15 p.m.
