Location: CAPP’s Elmwood Community Center

Title: Food Pantry Volunteer Assistant

Objective:

Perform duties assigned in accordance with the Food Pantry program procedures for an effective food distribution process

Duties:

  • Greet residents and assist with crowd control
  • Bag loose vegetables
  • Provide support with distribution process
  • Restock non-perishables on shelves
  • Count left over items at the end of distribution day , on a weekly basis

Qualifications:

  • The ability to safely push heavy carts
  • The capacity to work at heavy lifting, and stocking shelves for ½ an hour at a time.

Training:

  • Orientation and one-hour training is required
