Location: CAPP’s Elmwood Community Center
Title: Food Pantry Volunteer Assistant
Objective:
Perform duties assigned in accordance with the Food Pantry program procedures for an effective food distribution process
Duties:
- Greet residents and assist with crowd control
- Bag loose vegetables
- Provide support with distribution process
- Restock non-perishables on shelves
- Count left over items at the end of distribution day , on a weekly basis
Qualifications:
- The ability to safely push heavy carts
- The capacity to work at heavy lifting, and stocking shelves for ½ an hour at a time.

- Practice communication and social skills
- Contribution to the effort to eradicate food insecurity in Providence
Training:
- Orientation and one-hour training is required
