YWCA Dayton is looking for friendly and committed volunteers who would like to assist in running our onsite food pantry available for residents in our permanent supportive housing. You do not need to have a background in food service, just minimal computer knowledge and a willingness to assist the community.
Hours
Thursdays
1 - 3 p.m.
Duties
Opening and closing the pantry.
Helping sort food to stock the pantry.
Checking and recording the temperatures of refrigerator.
Organizing, stocking, and maintaining inventory list for pantry.
Checking residents into the PantryTrak database when they arrive.
Assisting residents as they move throughout the pantry.
Responsible for keeping pantry clean.
Preparing Welcome Home and Emergency Food baskets.
Requirements
Orientation and background check.
18 or older
