Therapeutic Riding Session

Volunteers are vital to the Madison Fields Therapeutic Riding Program.

There are three different volunteer opportunities within the therapeutic riding program: side walker, horse leader, and equipment manager. We serve children and adults with a variety of disabilities. Some riders are independent with mild impairments, while other riders are totally dependent on the volunteers to hold them, onto the horse, and help them follow simple directions.

All of our volunteers participate in a Volunteer Orientation held at Madison Fields. We provide training and support, so you are fully prepared to assist our riders. Previous horse experience is helpful, but not required!

Dates: Our needs vary slightly with each session. Lessons take place Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Our Spring Session will begin on March 25th, 2019 and will run for 8 weeks! We ask that our volunteers try to commit to a time slot for the full duration of the session.
