Washington County Community Circles is an all-volunteer organization that has worked with the criminal justice system to practice restorative justice through the Circle process. We are seeking an event planner/coordinator to assist us in planning a volunteer recognition/20-year celebration event. We had an event for our 15-year celebration but have not celebrated and recognized our volunteers and their contributions to our clients and the community since that time. The volunteer(s) planning the event would have access to the Board of Directors to help plan the event.

To practice Restorative Justice in Washington County through Community Circles, while continuing to support and spread the circle process in the county and region.
Description
Community Circles, also known as Peacemaking Circles, are a community-directed process most commonly used for addressing issues surrounding local incidents of crime and conflict. Sentencing Circles in Washington County are created in partnership with the justice system, and create a respectful space to support victims, develop sentences with and for clients, and empower all interested community members to work toward preventing future occurrences of conflict.
