Greetings!
Companion Hospice is looking for qualified Community Relations Assistant interns for our Simi Valley location. This intern will be working one-on-one with our Area Marketing Manager. In addition this position would be wearing multiple hats to assist the office with clerical duties and Volunteer recruitment efforts. This position is ideal for those who are in school or in training for the following: Marketing, Public Relations, Community Relations, Healthcare Administrations, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Relations, Public Health, etc.
Qualifications:
-Must be at least 21 years of age
-Must be in school or training in related field
-Must have reliable transportation
-Must pass a background check
-Must have a negative TB screening
-Must have excellent communication skills
-Preferred Spanish speaking but not required

We match volunteers to Hospices where they will excel the most. We offer training and orientation, continued education for all volunteers, certificates of completion and excellence. Whether volunteers are students trying to gain experience or if you just want to give back to the community. We hope that we find individuals who can successfully achieve their goals and provide helpful assistance to Hospice organizations within the Los Angeles County.
Description
Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness and help their families caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospice also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fund raising, community outreach and other operational areas.
