Classroom Math Assistant

A dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer is needed to assist our children's math instructor by being a classroom assistant Fall 2019 at the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning. The assistant will provide support to the following classes:
Middle School Math with Elise Mandel
Wednesdays, September 18-November 6, 5:30-6:30pm *
GRADES 6-8: In this class, we will review and practice fundamental concepts that lay the foundation for middle school math success through games, discussion, worksheets, and more. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend! Elise Mandel holds a master’s degree in education from UMass Amherst, and she teaches classes and works with private students in many subjects.
Upper Elementary Math with Elise Mandel
Wednesdays, September 18-November 6, 4:30-5:30pmThis engaging math class for grades 3-5 using multiple games and cooperative activities to introduce and reinforce math skills. Homework help is also available. Volunteer needed to assist instructor with games and homework help.
