ORGANIZATION: Volunteers of America Oregon

Young children in families under increased stress find support and develop bonds in our therapeutic classrooms, but also need access to new clothes and healthy food to take home. Develop your leadership potential through taking ownership of the design and maintenance of our Family Relief Nursery's food and clothing pantry. Learn about early childhood education and social services along the way!

Maintain an inventory of items and work with staff to procure donations. Keep the space tidy and inviting. If you have experience in a retail and/or office environment, have strong communication skills, love children, and are able to commit 4-6 hours 2 times per month M-Th between 8:00am and 1:00pm, you will enjoy this opportunity to exercise your initiative and creativity, support vulnerable families, and be part of an excellent team. Orientation, on-going support, and references provided!

You can play a vital role in keeping children safe and families strong by reducing stressors parents’ experience. Make food and clothing available to them in a fun and organized "shopping" experience, while they visit our relief nursery for respite and parenting support.
